I took Matthew to the doctor and his ears are clear so he doesn't have an infection. To answer Michael A's question...yep it sure could be from teething. His canines are coming in and are all the way broken through so we don't think it's his canine teeth making his ears hurt but you just never know. It's so hard when he can't talk to you!

He went over to Mina's to play this morning and had a good time. They played a little inside then headed outside to roam the sidewalks. They found a rock garden in front of the neighbors house and had fun with that. Mina sat in it for a while and Matthew decided it would be fun to throw the rocks into the grass....typical toddler boy!

He's been doing better on extending his vocabulary although we usually hear a new word only once and then won't hear it again for a long time. He said "night" and "juice" yesterday! Those are definitely new words for him! We were excited but unfortunately could not get him to repeat them again. He'll say them when he wants to :) We're looking forward to spending a little time with Dad this weekend. He's on call Saturday but doesn't have to stay up at the hospital like last weekend so hopefully he'll have a quiet day and get to stay home some of the day. We'll keep our fingers crossed but won't hold our breath!
